For more than 20 years, the innovation behind the Tia Solutions has contributed to and shaped the path of the global insurance industry. The first E.R. diagrams of the Tia Solutions were drawn back in 1986, when a Danish insurer had international ambitions and tasked its developers with designing an insurance solution with open architecture, flexibility, scalability, solidity, upgradeability and, of course, a modern look-and-feel. Designed by insurance professionals for insurance professionals, one of the world’s very first InsurTech companies was born.
In the 90s, the original developers performed a management buy-out and established Tia Technology in 1997. Tia Technology was acquired by the Swedish equity fund EQT in June 2014 and subsequently sold to Sapiens, the global insurance software provider, in 2020. The integration with Sapiens ensures a strong platform for continuing our journey, and servicing our customers worldwide.
Since 1997, Tia has provided open and flexible software to insurers all over the world. Every day we draw strength from our more than 20 years of hands-on industry knowledge to service our 67 customers across five continents. In a not-so-distant future, we look forward to welcoming our 200th colleague, who – if we run the numbers – will probably be a software developer or implementation consultant. 78% of us are, you see. Regardless of what project we’ve been involved with, we have a zero-failure implementation rate. That’s a 100% success rate, if you’re a glass-half-full type. More than 30,000 insurance professionals from all over the world use the Tia Solution, daily. In total, our systems handle more than 20 million insurance policies, equal to a book of business exceeding €6bn in Gross Written Premium.
We bring speed and agility to insurance ecosystems. That is our mission.
Our ambition is to be the first choice for insurers in our core markets and build long-term relationships with happy customers.
Our values shape our way of working and help us define and reach our targets:
