For more than 20 years, the innovation behind the Tia Solutions has contributed to and shaped the path of the global insurance industry. The first E.R. diagrams of the Tia Solutions were drawn back in 1986, when a Danish insurer had international ambitions and tasked its developers with designing an insurance solution with open architecture, flexibility, scalability, solidity, upgradeability and, of course, a modern look-and-feel. Designed by insurance professionals for insurance professionals, one of the world’s very first InsurTech companies was born.
In the 90s, the original developers performed a management buy-out and established Tia Technology in 1997. Tia Technology was acquired by the Swedish equity fund EQT in June 2014. Backed by EQT, we have a strong platform for continuing our journey, growing the expansion worldwide and investing massively in R&D. Our achievements have been honoured with three consecutive XCelent Awards for serving the largest customer base in EMEA.
Since 1997, Tia has provided open and flexible software to insurers all over the world. Every day we draw strength from our more than 20 years of hands-on industry knowledge to service our 67 customers across five continents. In a not-so-distant future, we look forward to welcoming our 200th colleague, who – if we run the numbers – will probably be a software developer or implementation consultant. 78% of us are, you see. Regardless of what project we’ve been involved with, we have a zero-failure implementation rate. That’s a 100% success rate, if you’re a glass-half-full type. More than 30,000 insurance professionals from all over the world use the Tia Solution, daily. In total, our systems handle more than 20 million insurance policies, equal to a book of business exceeding €6bn in Gross Written Premium.
Tia exists to help insurers grow. That is our mission.
To succeed we must build a scalable solution that is fit for our different customer segments and create a strong community of customers and partners alike.
We strive to be the preferred vendor for insurers who want the simplest, most intelligent insurance platform. This is our vision. It helps us set a direction for both long-term strategies and day-to-day business.
