The ever-changing use demands are difficult to match with the existing legacy platforms, which end up creating large amounts of manual work in the commercial business, including time-consuming underwriting processes.

As part of a selection process to implement Codan’s strategy to harmonise technology across their Scandinavian businesses, the choice fell on Tia. Not least because Tia’s modular solutions and open, flexible API would provide Codan with many synergies – as well as extensibility for the future.
The solution included Willis Towers Watson’s Radar Live pricing engine integrated with the Tia Enterprise solution and Tia Sales Product Designer which is a business solution with functionality for packaging and selling insurance propositions on top of the Tia Core. Radar Live integrates with Tia through an API we have built as a joint venture between us and Codan. The API was delivered in less than six months’ time due to the close collaboration.
The combination of Radar Live and Tia Sales Product Designer empowers Codan to optimise pricing precision and risk management – and provides a new, intelligent way of packaging and selling products to end-customers. Reducing manual underwriting is another huge plus, as is the fact that agents and brokers can sell products to customers with minimal support from Codan. Bringing down renewal time of policies is another added benefit.
