Virum, Denmark – For the second time in a row, the TIA Solution has received an XCelent top honor award for being a leader in the breadth of customer base in EMEA category for Policy Administration Systems for General Insurers.

TIA Technology, a leading provider of standard insurance software solutions for the global property/casualty and life insurance industry, has been named the winner of the XCelent Customer Base Award in Celent’s EMEA Policy Administration Systems report 2013 (released in early 2014).

Commenting on the top performer award, TIA Technology’s chief executive officer Liselotte Munk said, “This is an important award for us because our customers are our livelihood. They are the proof that the TIA Solution is the solution that meets the needs of real insurers in the real world. While we love to welcome new customers into our community, for us it is just as important to make sure our current customers are thriving.”

With over 60 customers in EMEA, and a continuously expanding customer community, TIA led the XCelent Customer Base category. The Celent report, authored by Craig Beattie, a senior analyst in Celent’s insurance practice states: “TIA has always had a strong presence in the EMEA region and this continues to be the case in 2013. The TIA install base demonstrates a diversity of insurer sizes, insurance products and target markets. With strong new wins and a new release Celent expects TIA to remain a force to contend with in
EMEA.”

According to Peter Braad Olesen, Vice President, R&D at TIA Technology winning the award proves an important point: “The reason that we have been able to attract so many marketleading, forward-thinking customers is because the TIA Solution is so versatile and flexible enough to meet their specific needs. These customers know that implementing TIA brings them tangible results and that means success.”

Modern, open and integrated technology

For two decades the TIA Solution has been characterized by the use of Oracle technology and in 2012 the solution underwent a major change; moving to a modern Java-based user interface following the open standards in Oracle ADF. This update gives the system all of the benefits of a modern, open and integrated platform, making it highly scalable and easy to integrate, configure and upgrade.

With a more intuitive look and feel the TIA Solution also boosts employee efficiency and allows them to deliver better service to customers. This significant upgrade in functionality has not been lost on Celent who stated in the report: “The TIA Solution now benefits from a modern, web-based user interface that provides strong context to the user and easy  navigation around the data in the system. Configuration of products is also much improved in the latest version with web-based configuration screens and navigation.”

Celent also pointed out how the TIA Solution offers most of the advanced quote management functionality through configuration by a nontechnical business user. Additionally the product design functions are offered through configuration by a nontechnical business user.
