As a response to the growing demand for openness, clear interface points to the business logic and more functionality, TIA has launched development of a new TIA 6.3 release that is now very close to be released to the market.

TIA 6.3 focuses on delivering enhancements to the TIA Services based on the input from the TIA Customers and aimed at improving performance in the TIA Service Layer.

Furthermore, TIA 6.3 also offers new functionality for administering the life and pension lines of business. A new TIA component, TIA Life & Pension (TIA L&P), is offered under a separate licence and provides a comprehensive functional platform and cost efficient support for composite insurance companies (combining general insurance and life lines of business) in addition to those insures that only require a pure life solution. TIA L&P includes such new features as actuarial calculations engine, savings account, investments management system and life events handler as well as leverages on the proven strengths of the core TIA Solution modules, such as TIA Product Editor, Policy Administration, Claims and Accounting. In this way TIA has designed a truly integrated and flexible solution that can meet requirements of any customer. TIA has recently finished testing of TIA L&P as part of TIA 6.3 with only a few regression tests outstanding before the component is completely release-ready. The L&P module in TIA 6.3 is built based on the solution developed for Betri pensjón that went live with an installation in February 2011. Read more about the implementation project as described by the CEO of Betri pensjón, Mortan Poulsen. For further information on TIA L&P and its benefits, please write to us

Last but not least, TIA 6.3 will include approximately 40 enhancements, such as handling of risks on a master policy via TIA UI, Batch and TIA Services; the use of alternative keys in TIA Services; improved handling of accumulations in TIA Reinsurance and many others.

TIA 6.3 is scheduled to be released to the market at the end of November 2011.
