TIA Technology, a leader in standardized software solutions for the insurance industry, announces that Sabine VanderLinden has joined the Board of Directors. Sabine brings significant expertise from the global InsurTech space and will help ensure TIA and its customers are on the cutting edge of insurance innovation. Sabine will also guide TIA’s management team as the company’s footprint continues to expand globally.
InsurTech shapes the insurance industry
Consumers today expect to engage with insurers digitally. They want to easily find products and services that suit their specific needs. Right now, the insurance industry is undergoing a digital transformation to meet these changing expectations. This means that insurers must not only adapt core technology to deliver unique customer experiences, but also identify emerging capabilities that render such engagement in a completely seamless way. InsurTech is at the center of this transformation, enabling corporates to deliver relevant digital solutions that engage customers in new ways and drive innovation across a series of areas.
“Startupbootcamp exists to accelerate corporate and startup-led innovation and match relevant emerging solutions with those industries that need them most. Within the insurance sector we continuously re-evaluate the pillars of value creation and identify startups that can achieve differentiation for our insurance partners,” said Sabine. “I look forward to bringing to TIA the market insight I’ve acquired reviewing and evaluating so many thriving, leading-edge businesses.”
“We are pleased to welcome Sabine VanderLinden to our Board of Directors," said Vagn Sørensen, Chairman of TIA. "Her knowledge and experience of the InsurTech space will advance our understanding of new technologies and business models. With the industry changing so rapidly, it is imperative that TIA is at the forefront and leading this change. With Sabine on board, TIA will be even better equipped to help our customers navigate the future.”
The growing importance of ecosystems
As the insurance industry continues its digital transformation, ecosystems are becoming the norm. Companies are increasingly integrating their core business functionalities with third parties and their platforms. The TIA Core solution supports ecosystems with its open architecture by REST API. Sabine’s collaborative mindset and expertise in matching new technologies with existing core platforms supports TIA’s approach to ecosystem development.
“I have known TIA for many years and I’m impressed by the company’s recent advancements aimed at aligning its proven solutions to insurers’ needs across international markets,” said Sabine. “I look forward to advising the team and helping it solidify its approach to ecosystem development as it continues to innovate to leapfrog current core system thinking.”
With 20 years of experience in insurance, Sabine previously headed SSP's market strategy and proposition development by acting as the conduit between the R&D and commercial teams. Sabine also worked for renowned organizations such as Pegasystems, FICO and IBM.
