Insurance Europe, the European insurance and reinsurance federation recently released their annual report which offers some interesting insights into the current state-of-affairs in the industry.

Insurance Europe, the European insurance and reinsurance federation recently released their annual report which offers some interesting insights into the current state-of-affairs in the industry. They noted that it had been a challenging year with a large number of natural disasters and the euro crisis, however European insurers are in a stable and secure state.

There has been a 2% rise in total assets, but a 1.5% decrease in total written premiums. The report gives a great overview of European Insurance with facts and figures and graphs such as below.
